I Decided to test Proxy*One with a 3rd party terminal emulator (Hosaka TN5250). In my test one Windows PC acted both 5250 host and Proxy*One Server. The other Windows PC acted as a client connecting to the simulated host using Proxy*One. You can follow my setup step by step below. Hopefully it will make is easier for you to get started with Proxy*One! biggrin.gif

First, Setup both computers with fixed IP’s in the same range
Computer 1 192.168.0.1 255.255.255.0
Computer 2 192.168.0.2 255.255.255.0

List of Actions - Computer 1 (Acting as 5250 host & Proxy*Server)
    - Download & install Access*One on the computer.
    - Run the 5250 host simulator from the start menu.
    - Download & install Proxy*One on the computer.
    - Run InstallProxyServer.bat from the install directory of Proxy*One.

List of Actions - Computer 2 (Acting as Client)
    - Download & install Proxy*One on the computer. (Or browse the Proxy*One directory on Computer 1, copy the files in folder Win32 to a directory on Computer 2.)
    - Edit ProxyOneClientSettings.txt, update IP to Proxy server and the Host, save file.

    ProxyServer1=192.168.100.1:7000
    HostAddress=192.168.100.1

    - Run ProxyClient.exe on Computer 2
    - Install your 3rd party terminal emulator on Computer 2
    - On computer 2 start the 3rd party Terminal emulator, connect to “localhost” port “230” to connect with Proxy*One.
Now you should be up and running, Good Luck!

5250 Host Simulator
- The Access*One host simulator can only manage one connected device simultaionious.

Proxy*One Client
- You need to use you correct proxy*one client runtime depending on if you are using a PC (win32) or mobile computer (Arm4 or x86).

"Showing off Proxy*One"
- In my test setup i "Show Off" Proxy*One by unplugging the AP power, and then re-connecting it.
